# Vault Synopsis

The Origin Protocol was launched with a mission to reduce the barrier to entry for a Proof-of-Stake network and decentralise node operations with high security. With the introduction of OETH and the wrapped version wOETH for composability, Origin has become a leading ETH liquid restaking protocol, allowing users to natively restake ETH across DeFi.

Origin Ether (OETH) offers users a seamless gateway to stake ETH, built on an ethos of decentralisation and singular focus on security. By implementing DVT ([Distributed Validator Technology](https://www.originprotocol.com/what-is-distributed-validator-technology-dvt)) at its core, OETH improves on fault tolerance while offering holders one of the safest and most rewarding ways to stack ETH faster.

The wOETH vault allows users to increase their effective exposure to wOETH to 5x through folding their wOETH collateral on Morpho Finance. This means that *at the Target Leverage of 5x*, the user will receive 5x the spot yield for native base ETH staking as well as the restaking yields from Origin minus the associated cost of leverage as represented by the borrow APY in the [86% LLTV Morpho pool for wOETH/WETH](https://risk.morpho.org/market?id=0xea023e57814fb9a814a5a9ee9f3e7ece5b771dd8cc703e50b911e9cde064a12d\&network=ethereum).
