# Smart Contract Risk

While Origami smart contracts have undergone extensive internal reviews and formal audits, all smart contracts remain subject to risks including but not limited to:

1. Coding errors - Smart contracts may contain coding errors that may lead to unintended consequences, security breaches, or loss of funds.
2. Immutability - Once deployed, some or all aspects of the smart contract are immutable. If a flaw is discovered, it may not be easily rectified.
3. External Data Dependency - Smart contracts rely on price information provided by external data sources (oracles). If these sources provide inaccurate information, contract execution may be adversely affected leading to loss of funds or economic loss.
